On August 23, 2023, the official website of the Center for Medical Device Evaluation of the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) announced the public notification of the results for the special review application for innovative medical devices (2023 No. 6). On September 7th, Singular Medical's implantable cardiac defibrillator (ICD) passed the public notification period and officially entered the special review process (also known as the 'Green Channel'), making it the first implantable cardiac defibrillator (ICD) product to enter the innovative special review program.
